Journeys And Discoveries

For three months, these young participants of the SPB-Dama Young Singers Programme were coached by experienced and seasoned local and international vocal teachers and theatre practitioners in the art of vocal delivery and performance.

Besides workshops and masterclasses, the young singers were also directed in:
• "performing a song" and "acting through song."
• Basics of singing and vocal improvement through the use of good posture, breathing, resonance, tone, vowels, consonants, etc.
• Techniques for voice enhancement
• Vocal range, musical styles, performing a song and acting through song

The Young Artistes Programme is a community-based programme presented by Dama and sponsored by Selangor Properties Berhad aims to cultivate and nurture young talents for the stage.
